ELICA FUTURAA source of inspiration
The kitchen as both a workshop and a place for conversation and social interaction became a trend in the architectural layout of this room during the 90's. This, however, has always been part of David Lewis'conceptualization of the kitchen, so when he got the chance to do a range of hoods, his solutions were marked by a general lightness and evocative form to match the social function of the kitchen not unlike that of a living room - a place where you want to be with your friends and family. Lewis believes that the things we surround ourselves with should should be sources of inspiration, transmitting positive sensations. This is the philosophy behind the cooker hoods as well as the washing, cooking, cooling and storage units in robust steel he also developed for the Italian manufacturer of cooker hoods and kitchen units.
